The
Tibetan Village Project (TVP) is a non-profit, non-political organization dedicated
to promoting sustainable development and preserving the rich cultural heritage

In 2005,
the Australian/ New Zealand (ANZ) aspect of TVP was established with Don Cullen
as ANZ Co-ordinator. Don has made several trips to Tibet and became involved with
TVP, while investigating ways of aiding a group of Tibetan orphans he had met
on his travels.
Don
Cullen lives in Melbourne, Australia, and has a strong business background,
mainly in the food industry throughout Australia and New Zealand. He has been
actively involved in Tibetan culture for the past 44 years. He has travelled to
Tibet a number of times over the past decade and during that time, has developed
a great empathy for the Tibetan people who are trying to maintain their religion,
culture and quality of life. Don is also the contact point for "Conscious
Journeys" in Australasia and Europe, he is one of the leaders that take
groups in to Tibet to work on Tibetan Village Projects. Don is the TVP representative
for Australia / New Zealand and Europe and serve on TVP board. Click

Don Cullen Receives Paul Harris Fellowship Award: Don Cullen who lives in Melbourne, Australia received the Paul Harris Fellowship Award in October 2007 from the Rotary Club. The award is named after Paul Harris who founded Rotary in Chicago in 1905. The Rotary Club supports humanitarian projects around the globe including Tibet. Don was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow in special appreciation for the ways in which his life exemplifies the humanitarian and educational objectives of The Rotary Foundation. Don has been working with Tibetan Village project since 2005 and travels to Tibet every year. In 2007 two representatives of Melbourne’s Rotary Club traveled to Tibet with TVP. TVP congratulates Don for this special award and expresses its sincere appreciation for being part of the team and making a difference in lives of thousands of Tibetans.
