Don's Current Project: Bata Village Clinic Construction
Tibetan Village Project would like to support the work of Dr. Pasang in Kham by building a new clinic and supporting ongoing programs. TVP hopes to raise A$20,000 to build one two storey clinic (approximately 242 meter) that will have a main service room, one patient treatment room), a training room, and an apartment for Dr. Pasang. Local villagers will donate land and labor for the construction. If fundraising is successful, construction will begin in May 2010.
Dr. Pasang currently operates out of a small room (about 10 x 10 feet); lives in a tinny room next door to the clinic; never turns away any patients (she works around the clock), and earns an equivalent of $100 per month by selling
medicines (someone similar to her in education and skills makes at least $300
per month). She treats about 5-10 patients per day and most of them are women and children. To learn more, please download this flyer and consider making a generous donaton today. If you have any questions, please contact Don Cullen.
