Ways
to Help Tibetan Village Project
How much does a project cost to support? TVP spends every donated dollar on the project for which it is designated or most needed. Here are some examples of how far your contribution goes in Tibet. Download donation form here or donate by credit card.
- $25 monthly: supports a high school student who plans to attend college. A student’s biography is available upon request.
- $50 monthly: pays the stipend for a care-taker who maintains a greenhouse, grows the vegetables, and prepares daily lunch for a school.
- $100: purchase textbooks and notebooks for 50 children at one of the TVP-sponsored schools. Currently, students often share a half-torn textbook and write on the dirt to do their homework.
- $175 monthly: provides health education materials and supports a midwife who provides Tibetan women and girls simple, but critical, life-saving reproductive healthcare and education.
- $300 monthly: helps to keep one village-based school that enrolls approximately 25 students in operation by providing teacher stipends and purchasing school supplies.
- $500 monthly: helps to keep one village-based clinic in operation by supplying necessary funds to purchase basic medical supplies and medications and hold health education and disease prevention sessions.
Friendship Circle
This monthly giving program of $15 or more funds our ongoing general health and education projects that are the TVP’s highest priority. You can designate your contribution for a specific project (e.g. scholarship for a student) or ask us to designate it for the school or medical project that needs it most. Print the donation form here.
Compassion in Action Campaign
TVP is establishing a sustaining pardon circle ($1,500 or more annually) for safeguarding the survival and sustainability of the Tibetan Village Project. A commitment of $5,000 or more annually, the donors receive an invitation to participate in a special donor trip. Additional information and a donor package can be obtained from TVP.
Host a House Party
Would you like to host a house party? Can you offer a venue to host an event? Consider inviting Tamdin or any of TVP’s board members to screen our DVD documentary or present a slideshow to raise awareness and funds for Tibetan Village Project. Hosting an event is a fun and meaningful way to bring your family members, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances together for a potluck dinner or cocktail reception. Perhaps you know of a local school/community center interested in having a speaker? Please contact info@TibetanVillageProject.org.
